Tycho de Feijter

Tycho de Feijter is a China-expert specialized in defence and in the automotive industry. He studied law in Amsterdam and Beijing, graduating with a thesis on China’s accession to the WTO. In 2003, Tycho moved to China and stayed for 16 years, traveling to every corner of the country. He worked at the Dutch Embassy in Beijing, first for the Economic & Commercial department and then for the Defence Department. In 2014 he founded an independent consultancy focused on the Chinese and South East Asian automotive sector. After returning to the Netherlands in 2019, Tycho continued his China-related research, working with Leiden Asia Center and Clingendael, and for various other clients.
