Leon Verbakel is a research assistent at the LeidenAsiaCentre. His primary tasks are to edit the multiple LAC social media platforms, release the monthly newsletter and help with the organisation of events.

Leon is in his third year of the bachelor China Studies at Leiden University. In addition, he participates in the Honours College of the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs, and has followed different extracurricular courses in Dutch and international law.
