Dr. Dattesh Parulekar

Dr. Parulekar’s research examines India’s foreign policy, strategic maritime affairs, Europe-Asia relations, and Chinese political economy. He has analyzed the evolving nature of global power, noting that economic and technological capabilities, alongside diplomatic strategies, increasingly influence international leadership. In this seminar, he will discuss India’s foreign policy in the context of its interactions with other major powers and the broader implications for global governance.
Willem Punt

Willem Punt brings extensive experience in South Asia and international diplomacy. He previously served as South Asia Coordinator at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue in Singapore, focusing on conflict mediation, and has held various positions within the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He will provide insights into Dutch and international policy perspectives on India and the strategic challenges in the region.
Nicolas Blarel
Associate Professor of International Relations at the Institute of Political Science, Leiden University in The Netherlands.
He studies foreign and security policy-making, the politics of power transition in the international order, the politics of migration governance, and the international politics of South Asia. He has previously worked with the French Foreign Ministry’s policy planning staff and has been a visiting fellow at various research institutions based in New Delhi.
