Shiming Yang is University Lecturer in Global Political Economy of China at the Institute for Area Studies, Leiden University.
Her expertise lies in global environmental and climate politics, with a particular focus on ozone and climate negotiations, rising powers, and environment-economy nexus. Her book manuscript examines the divergences of China and India in international environmental diplomacy. She also researches climate negotiations outside the UNFCCC regime, international climate finance, and political economy of rising powers, including growth models, clean technologies, and cooling equipment.
