Tom is a founding partner of consultancy CP Global Insight. His expertise centers on Chinese industrial policy. He is a China biotech analyst at Gavekal Technologies, and he is affiliated with China Policy. He spent 15 years as a journalist in China, most recently as senior China economy reporter for Bloomberg News. He previously covered China’s consumer sectors for the Financial Times, and Chinese current affairs for Agence France-Presse. Tom has lived in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, and is currently based in Rotterdam.
