Zheyu Shang is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Area Studies, Leiden University. Her doctoral project explores the evolution of China’s online propaganda strategy in response to the rise of platform power. Her research interests include platform governance, political communication, and youth cultures in East Asian countries.
