Hester Versluis is currently a communications intern at Leiden Asia Centre. She researches the use of visual imagery for reports as a means of science communication for her internship assignment. She is responsible for organizing events, trainings and workshops and website and social media content.
Hester completed her Bachelor China-studies at Leiden University and wrote her thesis on China’s semiconductor industry. In addition, she spent one year at Peking University studying Chinese. Besides her internship she is completing a Master’s degree Asia-studies at Leiden University. Hester is particularly interested in international relations, the political economy of China, renewable energy and critical minerals.
