Christopher Green

Christopher Green studies modern Korean society with a focus on North Korean politics, everyday life and migration. His research draws heavily on interviews and surveys with North Koreans who have crossed the border, as well as analysis of South Korean media portrayals of North Korean and diasporic communities. He is assistant professor in Korean Studies at Leiden University and senior Korean peninsula consultant for International Crisis Group, and formerly worked for the Seoul-based outlet Daily NK.

About Christopher Green

Christopher Green is an assistant professor in the Korean Studies department of Leiden University in the Netherlands and senior Korean peninsula consultant for International Crisis Group. He is a former manager of the Seoul-based Daily NK. He has published widely on North Korean politics, economy, ideology and culture, as well as contemporary South Korean broadcast media portrayals of resettled North Korean migrants.
